Paper documents use valuable office space and organisations rely on manual precision for storage and retrieval.
Azolve provides a Scanning and Archiving solution that eliminates the loss of documents and wasted time searching for
misfiled documents. Our software provides speedy document retrieval and allows simultaneous access to documents
throughout your organisation.
We have the capability of applying OCR (Optical Character Recognition) and ICR (Intelligent Character Recognition) to
documents to extract text and handwriting from scanned images that is then indexed and retrievable via keyword
searching.
With permission from the relevant authority documents can be stored on electronic media replacing paper documents
completely and therefore reducing storage costs for manual archiving.
Scanning
Azolve can provide scanning software which integrates to any TWAIN compliant paper scanner which enables images to
be captured digitally. However, if organisations already have scanning solutions, we can take images and store
these accordingly.
OCR/ICR
Image files are processed via Optical Character Recognition (OCR) or Intelligent Character Recognition (ICR) for
text conversion that enables key characteristics of the document to be identified which, in turn can determine rules
for information extraction.
Searching
Once a scanned image has run through OCR, we are able to index the full contents making all documents available for
rapid and accurate searching - any document can be found and retrieved in seconds. Automatic summaries of the
document are also displayed. Security can be applied to restrict access to only the relevant personnel.
