Overview
Indexing is a method used to provide easier searching and locating of information. Azolve Index underpins the
information held within, whether that is a series of scanned images, office documents or case records. A comprehensive
indexing engine is used to facilitate the searching and flowing of information. Any words that are recognised are then
added to the searching index to provide visibility to others.
Image Indexing
Azolve Index can use the latest techniques for image recognition. Examples of capability include:
- Optical Character Recognition (OCR) is used to interpret text on an image and converts this to actual text.
- Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) is used to determine if hand marked ticks, crosses or marks in on a form are
completed. OMR is used to recognise these and translate them into system fields.
- Intelligent Character Recognition (ICR) is used to recognise handwritten letters and numbers to translate
these into system fields.
Document Indexing
Varying document types can be indexed that capture words to allow full text document searching. Document indexing supports the
processing of standard office documents like word, excel, powerpoint, text, PDF and so forth.
