Document Processing

Azolve Scan

Overview

The mechanism of capturing paper copies of documents, scanning and electronically storing them is a natural process in a modern office. Azolve Scan provides a simple to use and intuitive scanning and imaging application. The solution allows to you set the scanning settings such as colour options, image quality, double-sided, paper size and compression ratio to provide consistent scanning controls for the various document scan types.

Meta-data

Scan types can be created, which identify the type of document being processed (e.g. invoices, application forms, incoming post etc.). With each scan type, key fields can be captured with each group of scans. This allows the capture of meta-data at the point of scanning. However, because Azolve Scan is a fully integrated module, meta-data can be applied at a later time, either manually or more importantly automatically.

Batch Scanning

Azolve provides the ability to scan in batches. This feature allows you to group together related documents in a batch for example invoices from a particular supplier or post from a particular month, or case files together. When committed a unique batch reference is produced and stored with the images.

Image Improvement

When the image has been scanned into Azolve Scan, there are a range of image improvement options available to allow you to edit the images and ensure that they are of a high quality. These options include zoom, magnifying glass, rotation, character smooth (if an image has not been scanned in completely flat this can be used to smooth out characters), deskew (to straighten out an image that was not scanned in completely straight) and brightness.
